Job Summary
Licensed Orthodontic Dental Assistant
Dental Kidds Blaine & Coon Rapids MN
Pay: $30 - $35 per hour
Job Type: Full-time
Dental Kidds is a growing pediatric orthodontic practice with locations in Blaine and Coon Rapids. Our offices are designed just for kidsbright welcoming and focused on creating a fun comfortable experience. Were passionate about helping children build confidence through healthy beautiful smiles.
We are seeking a Licensed Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children values teamwork and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Schedule:
Mon-Thurs:
- 7:00-1:00
- 11:30-5:30
- 7:00/7:30-5:30
Fridays: 7:00-2:00
- One Saturday per month: 7:30-1:30
- Assist the orthodontist with procedures and patient care
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take impressions digital scans and radiographs
- Educate patients and parents on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Ensure a positive and comfortable patient experience
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols
- An Associates Degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required
- Must possess a current state license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures instruments and materials
- Proficiency in taking dental impressions and X-rays
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of dental software
