Job Summary: Performs general custodial tasks responsible for repairs and general maintenance of all buildings grounds and equipment associated within the agency. Works under general supervision with some latitude in organizing and completing assigned tasks. This employee will ensure compliance with safe work practices and maintain safe environments in compliance with established agency standards licensing regulations and generally accepted practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow work order requests and report progress to supervisor
Lawn care
Set up and take down at agency events
Perform tasks to service repair and maintain buildings equipment appliances plumbing electric carpentry etc.
Monitors general appearances and hygiene of buildings and grounds and performs custodial duties including replenishment of towels and soap emptying trash sweeping mopping vacuuming etc.
Maintains inventory for all equipment tools and maintenance supplies.
Request in advance from the supervisor all needed supplies and maintain a supply inventory
Report any repair and improvement needs or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Monitors buildings grounds and equipment identifies and reports to the supervisor the general maintenance needs and performs related maintenance and repair tasks
Maintain records and submit reports related to building grounds maintenance and equipment.
Maintain care for all equipment tools and maintenance supplies
Responsible for compliance with fire health and safety standards
Performs tasks necessary to maintain building and grounds
Ensure vehicles are in good operating condition maintaining oil tires fluids inspections etc.

Maintain records and submit reports related to building grounds maintenance and equipment.
Maintain positive relationships with clients and staff
Attend training as assigned
Respond to on-call maintenance emergencies
Employees are required to use their personal vehicles in certain circumstances and as directed in the performance of their duties
Other duties as assigned
Must be able to work alone without immediate supervision
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
Capable of servicing the upkeep and minor/moderate mechanical repair of agency equipment appliances and vehicles
Capable of performing custodial work when necessary
Knowledgeable of basic concepts practices and procedures associated with performing the job
Capable of servicing the upkeep and repair of agency equipment appliances plumbing electric and carpentry etc.
Capable of performing basic repairs and maintenance not requiring certifications
Capable of operating machinery/tools relevant to the job
Capable of heavy work
Valid Drivers License
Good interpersonal skills
Good punctual attendance
Education and Experience:
Requires a high school diploma/G.E.D. or 1-3 years of experience in the field or related area. Must have a valid drivers license. Certifications in the field will be considered.
