Tsilhqotin Eten Nadiltil (TEN) Program Manager

Tŝilhqotin ʔEten Nadiltil (TEN) is a road maintenance bridge and civil works company based in Williams Lake BC. TEN operates as part of the Tŝilhqotin National Government (TNG) and plays a vital role in maintaining critical transportation infrastructure while supporting future infrastructure projects that will strengthen and enhance the Tsilhqotin Nation and other areas.
The TEN Program Manager supports the growth and ongoing success of the organization by coordinating daily operations and fostering strong working relationships with community members leadership partners and stakeholders. Through this collaboration the role helps ensure projects are delivered safely efficiently and on schedule. The position requires strong organizational skills attention to detail clear communication and a commitment to working collaboratively in support of the Tŝilhqotin Nation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day administration quality scheduling and delivery of projects to ensure client and community satisfaction
- Work closely with the project manager to keep projects on track on budget and meeting quality standards
- Maintain strong working relationships between TEN TNG leadership Tsilhqotin communities and community economic development officers
- Maintain relations with partner companies and other service partners
- Build and strengthen relationships with clients and partners to create future business opportunities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a five-year strategic plan that identifies short- medium- and long-term goals for road and civil construction projects across the Tŝilhqotin Territory
- Assist in preparing competitive bid packages including estimates for costs timelines labor equipment and materials
- Support the tendering process and the awarding of subcontract agreements
- Support the procurement of local goods and services whenever possible
- Ensure all required approvals and documents are in place (insurance permits etc.)
- Gather information and resources needed to move projects forward successfully
- Prepare project updates and reports including costs and schedules
- Help set minimum standards for TEN projects and subcontractors to ensure quality and safety
- Support hiring of skilled workers and build a list of available community equipment and resources
- Develop a marketing plan to promote TENs services and strengthen its reputation
- Develop a Human Resource and Training Plan to support community employment and skills development
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; training or certification in road maintenance bridge building or civil works is an asset
- Minimum five years of related experience in project coordination construction operations infrastructure development or a similar role
- Strong leadership teamwork and problem-solving skills with the ability to coordinate projects and support operational decision making
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively with community members leadership partners and contractors
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage several tasks at once
- Able to work respectfully and effectively in community settings
- Flexible trustworthy and dependable
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract
- Understanding of Tŝilhqotin culture values and community priorities or a willingness to learn and work respectfully in support of Nation led development and community capacity building
- Awareness of community priorities and the importance of working collaboratively with Tŝilhqotin communities
- Commitment to advancing Nation-led development and supporting opportunities for local employment and capacity building
Working Conditions
- Travel within the Tŝilhqotin Territory and surrounding areas will be required
- Irregular work hours including weekends may be required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and additional hardware
- Lifting or moving up to 25lbs may be required
