The Opportunity
Reporting to the Controller the Senior Accountant will play a key role in the organizations financial reporting and accounting operations. This position will be responsible for overseeing month-end close activities preparing financial statements supporting international and multi-entity accounting functions and assisting with process improvements across the finance function.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. They will bring strong technical accounting knowledge excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while supporting a growing global business.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Month-End
Lead month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities
Analyze financial results and investigate variances against budget and prior periods
Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
Prepare and review monthly financial statements reconciliations and supporting working papers
Prepare and post journal entries including accruals prepaids and intercompany transactions
Operational Accounting
Manage intercompany reconciliations and foreign currency transactions
Support accounting for international operations and multi-currency environments
Assist with treasury functions and cash flow reporting
Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including AP AR payroll support and cash management
Audit Compliance & Controls
Assist with year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
Support the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting procedures
Team Collaboration
Partner with operational leaders and department heads to provide financial support and analysis
Participate in system improvements ERP enhancements and special projects as required
Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting processes and procedures
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function
Ensure compliance with tax filings government reporting and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years Accounting and/or Finance experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
CPA or equivalent certification preferred or demonstrated efforts to obtain so
Proficiency in accounting and finance systems (e.g. Quickbooks Netsuite etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail accuracy and ability to work under pressure
