Salary Range: $60000-$70000 per annum

The Opportunity
The Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Reporting to the Sr. Corporate Controller this role requires strong attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or variances
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Continuously improve accounting processes and systems

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years Accounting and/or Finance experience
• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred or demonstrated efforts to obtain so
• Proficiency in accounting and finance systems (e.g. Quickbooks etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail accuracy and ability to work under pressure
