Through school-based student support case management and strong community partnerships we help students overcome barriers beyond their control and focus on their strengths and potential so they can thrive academically socially and emotionally.

Position Overview

The Director of Programs leads the implementation and continuous improvement of CISHPs school-based and community programs. This position supervises Student Support Specialists and Community Program Managers oversees program quality and operations and works closely with the Executive Director to advance organizational goals partnerships and student outcomes.

Essential Functions

Program Leadership and Management

Supervise support and evaluate CISHP Student Support Specialists and Community Program Managers.

Oversee school-based supports case management and community programs including the Construction Skills Program and Alumni Relations Program.

Coordinate implementation of the CISNC Annual Plan and ensure alignment with the CIS Model and Student Support Standards.

Use the CISNC Fidelity Rubric to coach staff and strengthen program quality.

Review program data evidence of implementation and outcomes to monitor effectiveness and improve desired results.

Support staff in identifying and prioritizing student needs and delivering evidence-based supports.

Guide the growth and continuous improvement of programs and services.

Training and Staff Development

Lead onboarding and training for new program staff.

Plan and deliver staff development related to CIS standards trauma-informed care social-emotional learning attendance interventions and family engagement.

Support staff in developing annual work plans and meeting program goals.

Participate in and support professional development opportunities that strengthen CISHP outcomes.

Partnerships and Community Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with school leaders district partners and community organizations.

Coordinate school partnership agreements and align services with principals counselors and community partners.

Represent CISHP in community meetings partner gatherings and other external settings.

Manage volunteers and in-kind resources that support program goals.

Operations Reporting and Compliance

Oversee day-to-day program operations including budget tracking and administration.

Coordinate grant deliverables and contribute to grant applications renewals and reports.

Prepare timely reports for the Executive Director district funders and Board on activities outcomes and impact.

Maintain student privacy incident reporting and risk management protocols.

Chair Program Committee meetings and provide board reports as requested.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in social work public administration K12 education counseling psychology human services academic advising or a related field

35 years of relevant experience in education youth services or program management

2 years of supervisory experience

Knowledge of school systems student supports and barriers to student success.

Strong leadership communication organizational and data-use skills.

Proficiency with office and case-management systems.

Must be able to successfully pass all background checks required for employment and school-based work.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $54000$58000 commensurate with experience

15 days of paid annual leave

13 paid holidays

Health insurance stipend

Cell phone reimbursement

Physical Requirements

Frequent local travel to school sites and community meetings is required.

Must have reliable transportation valid drivers license and insurance.

Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
