Job Summary
Compensation Range: $65000 - $75000 yearly commensurate with experience

Overview:
The Special Populations Hotel Operations Manager is the main contact for all physical operations within the facility including IT Office Services Purchasing and meal distribution and inventory. The Operations Manager will work in conjunction with outside vendors to ensure operational efficiency and will be the primary liaison between the program/organization and hotel staff. The Operations Manager will supervise a staff of five (3) Residential Aide Supervisors.
Responsibilities:
Primary:
- The Operations Manager monitors operations throughout the program and looks for ways to increase productivity and lower expenses.
- The Operations Manager will be in direct contact with the Senior Program Coordinator Director of Social Services the Director of Hotel Programs IT/Xerox and other managers within the organization.
Secondary:
- Supervise five (3) Residential Aide Supervisors.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Ensure that the programs vendor contracts are fulfilled and stay withing budget.
- Maintain regular communication with the DHS Special Populations program team providing weekly program updates. Coordinate timely responses to evolving program needs and requirements ensuring effective engagement with vendors staff and clients.
Other functions that may be required with this position include:
- Create the schedules of the RA Supervisory staff to ensure there is 24-hour coverage at the program.
- Purchase and manage inventories of food and supplies.
- Schedule monthly staff meetings and provide guidance on changing policies.
- Ensure the safety security and integrity of all residents and guests as well as the physical environment of the facility.
- Conduct periodic facility walk-throughs.
- Act as primary liaison with hotel ownership
- Always provide excellent customer service and confidentiality.
- Communicate with the clinical staff on resident behavior as well as the care of those on the fragile list.
- Always enforce the Residential Code of Conduct and/or House Rules.
- Enthusiastically participate in advocacy and direct actions to end the twin crises of homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required as well as a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a social services setting that deals with HIV/AIDS homelessness mental health issues and/or substance use required.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime and offer flexibility regarding scheduling work time.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work with the homeless migrant population.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Outlook PowerPoint and Excel)
- Exemplary ability to manage multiple tasks using independent judgment and discretion.
- Ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to work in a team but also independently and accurately in a high-paced deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal contacts and always maintain client confidentiality.
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Good communication skills both verbally and written including the ability to communicate with all levels of management and a variety of stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of harm-reduction practices.
Essential Physical Demands/ Working Conditions
- Special Populations Hotel Operations Manager position is one which requires the staff person to be present in the program site 100% of the time.
- Occasionally expected to de-escalate tense even hostile client situations
