Job Summary

Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection is hiring a Plumbing Project Manager Assistant to support our growing Monroe Branch!

If you have experience in construction the trades mechanical work facilities or another hands-on industry and you enjoy coordinating projects and people solving problems and keeping things moving we want to talk to you.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how plumbing or construction work happens and wants to grow into a full Project Manager within a plumbing service and construction environment.

Job Summary:
For over 40 years Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection has served organizations and families in southern Wisconsin. The Project Manager Assistant supports the planning coordination and execution of plumbing service and construction projects for our branch in Monroe WI. This role acts as a key connection point between the Branch Manager plumbers in the field customers and vendors.

Youll assist with managing scheduling communication job site needs plumber support project planning and day-to-day coordination needs. You will also serve as a backup to the Branch Manager helping keep operations in our plumbing projects running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage plumbing construction and special projects from startup through closeout: handle RFIs submittals schedules scope budgets change orders monthly billings material/equipment orders permits and licensing job cost tracking and maintaining accurate project files.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for plumbing field staff: coordinate manpower look-aheads daily assignments and provide ongoing support to keep work on schedule and within budget.
  • Act as backup to the Branch Manager when theyre in meetings or out of office helping make decisions resolve issues and keep operations moving smoothly.
  • Communicate with customers prospective customers vendors and contractors: maintain strong relationships respond to questions support budgeting/pricing follow-up and attend site tours and project meetings as needed.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

  • Construction Management degree or equivalent combination of experience in construction plumbing mechanical trades facility maintenance or other hands-on industry. Plumbing knowledge a plus.
  • 0-3 years of construction administration experience and/or construction project management support.
  • Interest and willingness to learn plumbing project management and grow into a PM role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with plumbers in the field customers prospective customers and vendors
  • Proven ability to show up consistently work hard and stay committed to goals and responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities in order to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

100% Onsite at the office and jobsites
Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Range
$55000-$75000 placement on the pay range is based on relevant experience
