Senior IT Manager

What You Will Do:

As theSenior IT Manager you will:

• Lead and managea diverse IT team responsible for maintaining a hybrid environment ofLinux Mac and Windowsplatforms.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for IT systems operations and processes aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of operating systems software and hardware across platforms.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational requirements.
• Act as a technical escalation point providing hands-on support for complex IT issues across the environment.
• Manage and optimize system and network performance ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders providing regular updates on IT performance challenges and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee vendor relationships contract negotiations and procurement for IT services and hardware/software.
• Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration mentoring and empowering team members to grow and excel in their roles.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience: A minimum of12 yearsof IT experience with at least5 years in a leadership role managing hybrid or multi-platform environments.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong proficiency withLinux (e.g. Red Hat Ubuntu CentOS)Mac OS andWindowsoperating systems.
  • Experience in systems administration network management and IT security practices.
  • Hands-on knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g. AWS Azure GCP).
  • Familiarity with automation tools such asAnsiblePuppet orChefis a plus.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor IT teams fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven project management experience with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
• Clearance: Minimum Top Secret SCI eligible

Desired Qualifications:

• Masters degree in IT-related disciplines or business administration.
• Certification in Linux Windows Mac or IT leadership (e.g. Red Hat Certified Engineer MCSE or ITIL certification).
• Experience supporting classified or secure environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
