The Role:

Reporting directly to the Division Manager the Electrical Estimator is responsible for full-cycle estimating from lead qualification through turnover to operations.

This role is about more than pricing drawings. It is about:

• Understanding the clients real needs through ongoing communication
• Creating clarity before a job starts
• Identifying opportunities to add value
• Protecting margin by reducing operational risk
  

You will play a key role in shaping our pipeline strengthening client and vendor relationships while continuously improving our estimating systems.

What You Will Own:

• Build relationships and communicate with customers to develop clear scopes of work that are aligned with project goals and value proposition
• Build relationships and communicate with vendors for the procurement of project materials
• Prepare timely accurate detailed estimates
• Read and interpret drawings specs and tender documents
• Identify risks gaps and scope issues early

• Support operations with purchasing and change order pricing
• Ensure smooth turnover to operations
• Maintain a live pipeline report
• Track estimate vs. actual performance
• Present weekly estimating updates
• Deliver post-job variance summaries
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our estimating systems processes and database

What Were Looking For:

Experience

• 10 years commercial electrical experience
• 2 years estimating experience (design-assist and TI preferred)
• Strong knowledge of CEC and local codes
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Accubid or equivalent tools
• Strong understanding of labor productivity and installation methods
• Knowledge of contracts and construction conditions
