http://Job Description Conditions: Work is based in Liard River BC. with occasional service calls to field operations Camp can be provided for non-local candidates Preference may be given to local applicants due to the nature of the work As LHL respond to changing weather conditions some on call duties may be required Essential Responsibilities: Perform maintenance and repair of heavy construction and maintenance equipment such as on-highway trucks and trailers plows/sanding trucks loaders and light support gear Follows manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures Engages and participates in Ledcor safety policies and procedures Complete maintenance records and documentation as required Qualifications: Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (On-Road & Off-Road) or registered Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician with a recognized provincial authority Experience with heavy civil construction highway paving or highway maintenance equipment (e.g. snowplows) is an asset CVIP license is an asset Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing Valid Drivers License with the ability to provide a 3-year drivers abstract Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Compensation This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level industry experience and work location. Remote site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
