The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location work experience education licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:
$63900.00 - $95900.00Failure Analysis Engineers are a key resource for the manufacturing team supporting validation of new processes or material and the identification of issues and corrective actions.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Support manufacturing by troubleshooting product failures in both manufacturing and customer sites.
- Physical analysis of defective electronic electrical and mechanical components.
- Support introduction of new product process or material by analysis of assemblies.
- Monitor manufacturing processes using analysis test vehicles.
- Operate a variety of lab equipment to complete analysis.
- Generate reports to summarize findings using Google Workspace platform.
Additional Accountabilities:
- Assist in assessment and management of 3rd party services.
- Research material properties and specifications and application.
- Establish and document standard assessment practices.
- Evaluate and purchase equipment to upgrade or meet new requirements.
- Manage lab equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Manage control consumable materials.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with 3 to 5 years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics troubleshooting failure analysis rework or repair is preferred. Experience within a regulated industry is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in failure analysis of PCBAs boards or systems.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to drive corrective actions.
- Intermediate Verbal and Written Communications Skills
- Strong Analytical and statistical analysis Skills; Statistical Process Control Software Skills
- Lab tool/ test/measurement equipment experience preferred
