The Opportunity:

The Production Assembler Lead oversees production activities on the production floor to assure production schedules are being maintained to meet customer commitments.


What Youll Do:

  • Ensure finished products meet MeriCal and customer quality standards.
  • As a production line lead you are responsible for verifying the job being produced matches exactly with the Packaging instructions on the paperwork. It is your responsibility to notify the QA department Manager and/or the customer service department if there is a discrepancy.
  • Oversees finished product that meets MeriCal quality standards by performing quality checks throughout the production run.
  • The production line lead is responsible for ensuring the next job is stage and ready to produce after the previous job is finished and the line is completely cleared of all products from the previous job.
  • Responsible for ensuring the line(s) cleaning logs are filled out properly and all paperwork is filled out correctly and signed by the responsible employees prior to starting a new job.
  • Assist in the training of production line personnel.
  • Responsible for assigning work and setting goals and expectations on a daily basis.
  • Coordinating with the Maintenance Department regarding the changing of equipment or all mechanical problems to minimize down time and maximize production.
  • As a production line lead it is imperative to maintain a solid attendance record as well as to lead by example in all assigned areas of responsibility to build and maintain a quality core of employees that will maximize productivity.

What Youll Bring:

  • 1 to 3 years working as a production line lead preferably in FDA packaging environment.
  • High School Diploma or A.A or higher.
  • Strong communication skills with a solid understanding of production processes and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret all production paperwork including safety rules new GMPs for FDA compliance. and a job sheet instructions to ensure quality products are being produced per customer standards.
  • Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide using calculators or other measuring devices necessary to calculate surmise and track production on an hourly/daily/weekly or monthly basis to determine accurate and detailed production numbers.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (812 hours) and lift over 50 lbs.

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $21.00-$23.00. Thecompensation offered may vary depending on the candidates geographic region job-related knowledge skills and/or education.
