$500 Sign on Bonus

The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical developmental intellectual mental health challenges; those who have suffered a trauma; and those at risk to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Part TimeTherapist MHP BH who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community.

What you will be doing

The Therapist MHP is responsible for the provision of case management and counseling services to clients who are diagnosed with persistent mental illness.Therapist MHP are expected to work with a team of behavioral health service providers within the agency.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Attendance at scheduled work hours including evening hours
  • Provide effective individual couples & family counseling as assigned
  • Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicableadministrative rules
  • Refer clients for community-based case management services as needed
  • Complete required documentation (IMCANS documentation including encounters consents) on a timely basis
  • Meet minimum service provision/billing standards.
  • Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
  • Abide by AIDs Code of Ethics policies and procedures
  • Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
  • Complete IMCANS and other agency paperwork with clients.
  • Obtain input from consumers and other stakeholders on how to improve service provision
  • Provide outcome evaluation data to supervisor.
  • Maintain a positive professional working relationship withagencies and other stakeholders
  • Maintain a positive professional working relationship withcoworkers
  • Assist client in maintaining public entitlements as applicable.
  • Participate in agency committees as assigned
  • Provide counseling/therapy services to clients in the setting of their choice (ie. Home office or community).
  • Employee promotes awareness and respect for the diversity of our clientsemployees families and other stakeholders.

What will we provide Full Time employees.

  • $500 sign on bonus for full-time

Qualifications

What will you bring to the table

Education: Bachelors degree in a human service field required

Experience: At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred

Physical:Tolerance of unkempt home conditions of clients

Equipment:

  • Computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications
  • Copy machine
  • Telephone with voice mail system

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work evening hours
  • Use of personal automobile
  • Maintain automobile liability insurance as defined by AIDspersonnel policies
  • Maintain valid Illinois drivers license
  • Meet/maintain driving record standards as defined by AIDs insurance carrier.
