Commercial Lines Underwriter / Broker (E&S)

Compensation Package

• Base Salary Range: $75000 $115000
• Bonus: Sales incentive bonus plan

Responsibilities

• Build maintain and grow a book of business in the commercial lines E&S market.
• Manage agency relationships and act as the primary client contact.
• Rate quote and bind risks for new and renewal business focusing on complex accounts.
• Develop and execute marketing plans to drive growth and achieve performance metrics including hit ratio retention growth and loss ratio.
• Submit underwriting referrals to brokerage facilities and leadership as needed.
• Train and mentor assistant and associate underwriters to foster team development.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in commercial lines underwriting or brokerage with a strong preference for E&S experience.
• Licenses/Designations:
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred.
  • CPCU CIC or similar professional designations are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with standard agency management systems; no specific system required.
• Lines of Business Expertise: Strong knowledge of commercial lines with a focus on complex middle-market and E&S risks.
