Job Summary

Responsible for mixing and processing chemicals through various laboratory procedures as instructed and compiles data on laboratory experiments as well as setting up test apparatus.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Responsible for mixing and processing chemicals through various laboratory procedures.
Responsible for setting up and constructing standard experimental apparatus.
Responsible for compiling data on laboratory experiments and preparing charts or graphs.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area while observing stringent safety requirements.
Responsible for maintaining a complete accurate clear and neat laboratory notebook.

Minimum Qualifications

Critical Technical Competencies:

Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw conclusions
Strong organizational problem-solving and analytical skills
Strategic thinker who can see long-term goals and balance against short and intermediate-term needs
Ability to manage priorities and workflow
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

Specific Skills Required:

Strong understanding of chemistry
0-2 years experience in the handling of chemicals

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
