Assist in the structure and execution of the *NEW* LEC proactive maintenance strategy. You will utilize your deep understanding of maintenance functions and key metrics interactions with different systems cross functional collaboration within the maintenance organization and operations in totality to solve complex technical challenges. You will be responsible for creating and completing 6 sigma projects related to equipment maintenance (Reliability machine health spares etc) across the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing Six Sigma programs including supporting systems and tools for quality and business process improvement.
  • Leading and managing Six Sigma project portfolios to achieve measurable business process improvements.
  • Providing technical training and guidance for a future Lafayette proactive maintenance plan and the sustained execution of the same.
  • Employing Six Sigma methodology into organizational operations to meet business goals and objectives.

Influencing: Extensive knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. Ability to use influence to deliver on a strong vision.

Interpersonal Relationships: Extensive knowledge of the techniques needed to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner while also demonstrating exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication abilities.

Problem Solving: Working knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Process Improvement: Working understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes products and services. Uses abilities in process improvement to inform and create a strong vision for the future.

Project Management: Basic knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan organize monitor and control projects ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Six Sigma Methodology: Working knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define Measure Analyze Improve and Control) methodology; ability to use the methodology to improve the manufacturing processes and control the improvements by eliminating root causes.

Education: Bachelors degree in a STEM curriculum or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering facilities engineering and/or maintenance.

Top candidates will also have:

  • Demonstrated achievement in manufacturing engineering facilities engineering and/or maintenance roles
  • Experience as a direct/indirect leader
  • CMRP credential

Summary Pay Range:

$112710.00 - $169060.00
