An experienced residential Lettings Manager to oversee lettings operations in the Chelmsford area: An amazing business winner who can also manage team performance landlord relationships property marketing and compliance while ensuring targets are met and service standards consistently delivered.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lettings Manager to join a busy and successful lettings team in Chelmsford.
This role involves overseeing the day-to-day running of the lettings department supporting and developing staff and ensuring a high level of service to landlords and tenants while driving business performance.
What Youll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):
- Managing and overseeing the lettings team and daily branch activity
- Driving business generation valuations and instructions
- Supporting mentoring and developing team members
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords
- Overseeing property marketing across portals and platforms
- Monitoring enquiries viewings and conversion rates
- Negotiating tenancy terms and agreeing deals
- Ensuring compliance with current lettings legislation (including Right to Rent)
- Reporting on performance and implementing improvements where needed
- Working closely with the Property Management team to ensure smooth tenancy progression
What Were Looking For (Skills & Experience):
- Previous experience in residential lettings ideally at senior or management level
- Strong understanding of the lettings process and legislation
- Proven ability to win new business and grow a lettings portfolio
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Confident communicator and negotiator
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload
- Professional proactive and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
