Elementary Classroom Teacher (5th grade) Craneville Elementary School (2026-2027 School Year)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Massachusetts teacher certified in elementary education grades 1 6
• Knowledge of MA Curriculum frameworks curriculum instruction and assessment
• Ability to work with diverse population
• Knowledge of inclusive instruction and response to intervention helpful

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Responsible for effective planning and assessment of curriculum and instruction.
2. Establishes and (as necessary) adjusts instructional goals and objectives to reflect district/school goals curriculum policies and the knowledge skills progress and needs of ones students.
3. Designs lessons that provide opportunities for problem-solving creativity and communication skills in relation to authentic real world problems.
4. Establishes and maintains standards for social and emotional learning consistent with CASEL standards.
5. Commits to on-going professional development in content area and pedagogy.
6. Plans learning activities to address individual differences among students.
7. Develops administers and evaluates quality formative and summative assessments that reflect a balance of content knowledge and problem-solving skills.
8. Monitors and evaluates students progress in relation to district/school curriculum policies and other planned goals and objectives.
9. Encourages secures and maintains the involvement of families and other community members in support of instruction.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
11. Effectively collaborate with department and grade level teachers.
12. Knowledge of equitable teaching and learning resources and practices.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Abide by state statutes school board policies and regulations.
2. Attend meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
3. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.
4. Maintain accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative regulation.
5. Serve on committees as assigned.
6. Remain current on instructional practices in education. (e.g. instructional technology)

SALARY:

$50954 to $97434in accordance with the teachers contract.
