Our Client is a leading environmental organisation committed to restoring and conserving Australias diverse landscapes. They work collaboratively with Traditional Owners landholders communities and partners to deliver large-scale science-based conservation outcomes that benefit biodiversity climate resilience and people.

The ideal candidate will have prior conservation or environmental fieldwork experience and confidence operating a manual transmission 4WD vehicle in off-road and remote conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect clean process and store native seed in accordance with quality and biosecurity protocols
• Assist with field seed collection in remote and variable terrain
• Safely operate and maintain a manual 4WD vehicle in off-road environments
• Support ecological restoration and conservation works including site preparation and monitoring
• Record and manage field data accurately (seed provenance location quantities etc.)
• Follow safety procedures and environmental guidelines at all times
• Assist with loading/unloading equipment and materials for field operations
• Work collaboratively with conservation teams land managers and stakeholders

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in conservation environmental fieldwork land management or similar roles
• Competence and confidence driving manual transmission 4WD vehicles in remote/off-road conditions
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in variable and sometimes harsh conditions
• Strong attention to detail particularly in seed handling and record keeping
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a field team
• Current drivers licence (manual essential)
• Willingness to travel and undertake seasonal/remote fieldwork
