The Machine Head Subsystem Lead Technical Program Manager provides program and operational leadership enabling the Machine Head team to achieve business priorities execute programs and run the business with excellence.They will work closely with Product Managers Engineers and Configuration Management to maintain a tightly interconnected team working towards the common goal of developing world-class wind turbine programs.
Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality volume timeliness etc.).
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own the planning and execution of subsystem work portfolio including subsystem deliverables budget resource identification and priority discussions for New Product Introduction programs from conception through product sunset.
- Own subsystem NPI schedule structure and fidelity.
- Coordinate execution of deliverables and detailed schedule dependencies with Systems Program Managers and Subsystem Integrators to align plans and escalate visibility to critical path activities.
- Assure timely resolution of issues keep the stakeholders advised of the progress of the program and negotiate changes variations solutions to issues.
- Lead multiple programs in parallel from conception through field validation. Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus.
- Use the latest tools and methods to facilitate world class operational rigor for the team.
- Drive simplification and standardization of best practices into program execution.
- Manage cross-platform programs for the Machine Head subsystem.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or similar
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Program Management Renewable Energy Engineering or related fields.
