The Facility Maintenance & Projects position is responsible for performing a variety of building maintenance tasks and facility projects as well as assisting with the complete daily cleaning of our facilities including locker rooms bathrooms hallways and classrooms.
This position will split time at our various park district facilities depending on facility programing.
The preferred candidate is a responsible reliable and organized person capable of working independently and collaboratively with fellow team members. General knowledge of building maintenance plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry and painting is required.
Typical Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday
8:30 am-5 pm
Pay range: $20-24 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The qualified individual should be able to communicate clearly and effectively and preferably have a minimum of six months experience in a maintenance and custodial setting.
Additionally this candidate should have the ability to perform minor building repairs including plumbing carpentry electrical HVAC and painting. Must be well versed in all areas of building and custodial maintenance.
Must have basic knowledge and ability to use internal computer software programs including but not limited to work order systems email and online trainings.
Current CPR certification or ability to gain CPR certification is required. Must have a valid drivers license and complete a criminal background check.
