We are seeking a Crisis Center BSW. As part of a multidisciplinary team-based service this role provides support to clients in the Crisis Center which includes a Brief Intervention Clinic and a Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and supports the daily function of the Center and meets the complex needs of clients.
Thisassignment is scheduled for36 hoursa week Friday through Sunday from 7am to assignment is in-person at 260 Jefferson AveSE Grand Rapids Michigan 49503.
Network 180s Behavioral Health Crisis Center is a 24/7 facility that serves adults 18 years and older and includes a walk-in Brief Intervention Clinic and a secure Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU). The setting provides assessment and unscheduled clinical services designed to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises. The Crisis Center aims to provide these services to individuals whose crisis will typically resolve within a few hours however may require up to seventy-two (72) hours of treatment; and where services can be voluntary or involuntary.
The CSU fills a key gap in the Kent County Crisis Continuum of Care and provides more efficient effective equitable crisis behavioral health care in a setting designed and staffed to provide this type of treatment.
The CSU also aims to divert individuals from jail emergency departments and inpatient psychiatric hospital settings toan appropriate leastrestrictive treatment setting whenever it can be achieved safely and successfully.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Social Work; licensed in the State of Michigan as a limited licensed socialworker;ORbeeligibleforalimitedlicenseasstatedaboveandobtainthatlicensure within three (3) months of hire.
- Atleastoneyearofexperienceprovidingservicestoindividualswithmentalillness intellectual/developmental disabilities or substance use disorders.
- Thoroughworkingknowledgeofthepracticesandprinciplesofpsychologicalemotionaland sociological assessment.
- Thoroughworkingknowledgeofprofessionalethicsandstandardsofpractice.
- Possessionofavaliddriverslicenseandaccesstoreliabletransportationforjobrelateduse.
- Computerskillsincludingwordprocessingspreadsheetsemaildatabasemanagement electronic health record and data entry.
- Demonstratedexperiencecommunicatingclearlyandconciselyinstressfulsituations.
- Excellentcommunicationskillsbothverbalandwritten.
- Excellentcustomerserviceskills.
- Abilitytoworkeffectivelyinamulticulturalenvironmentandskillsandcapabilitiesofbridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- FulllicensureintheStateofMichiganasalicensedbachelorssocialworker.
- Threeyearspost-undergraduateexperienceworkingwithindividualswithmentalillnessand co-occurring disorders.
- Spanish-speaking.
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
