This role is responsible for identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate and timely payments to Reproduction Rights (RR) YOULL DO / KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with the end-to-end distribution process (ingestion to distribution) process for domestic RR identify and merge unmatched performances to payable works and AV works on internal system(s)Verify identify and resolve anomaly and/or unmatched results and payment allocations for performances AV and other works as neededProcess allocations for domestic RR distributions and ensure accuracy through business validations based on RR distribution rulesGenerate and validate Quality Assurance and/or integrity reports required for distribution Watch-ForListand ensure associated items have been reviewed and corrections completedLiaise withother teams ( MembershipQueries Financeetc.)as required to ensure smooth and on time processes and activities and resolve queries from members and/or other societiesAct as subject matter expert in relation to RR royalties activitiesOther duties asrequiredWHAT YOU WILL BRING / QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent communication skillsAdvanced knowledge of Office 365 including ExcelExcellent financial skills Excellent research skills and problem-solving skills Knowledge of existing SOCAN workflow Knowledge of repertoire copyright and share splits is an assetStrong time management skills to meet deadlines and ability to multi-taskACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONSOCAN is committed to providing an inclusive workplace environment that meets the accessibility needs of employees with disabilities.
