The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for analytics around Northern Trusts capital adequacy and capital management activities including the annual capital and resolution plan regular BAU activities and various ad-hoc projects. The Senior Analyst will interact and build relationships with partners outside of the Capital and Resolution Planning team to form strong analyses for Executive Management to help support strategic decisions which have broad impacts across the organization.

  • Work with Executive Management on Northern Trusts share repurchase program other capital distribution decisions and various capital efficiency initiatives.
  • Update implement and communicate capital allocation methodologies and be a subject matter expert across the organization.
  • Conduct a range of financial analyses with both internal and external data which may include topics in corporate finance capital adequacy and capital management.
  • Support the completion of Northern Trusts annual capital plan and resolution plan submissions.
  • Evaluate regulatory and internal requirements around capital adequacy/ CCAR.
  • Prepare and deliver BAU and ad-hoc reports and presentations.
  • As subject area expert provide comprehensive in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners across the organization at a high technical level.
  • Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.


Knowledge:

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills required to evaluate financial results and projections across all financial statements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary to present relevant information to senior management and business unit officers.
  • Strong personal computer skills and analytics tools usage (Power BI SQL Excel Word and PowerPoint) are required to perform analyses and communicate financial information.
  • Strong accounting (GAAP) reporting and financial analysis usually acquired through an advanced degree program or related work experience is required.


Experience:

7 years relevant experience in financial or related industry is required.

Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting required. Advanced degree or industry recognized credentials (e.g. CFA CPA) is preferred.

Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)

Salary Range:

$83100 - 141300 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
