We are seeking engineers scientists and technologists to join our Site Assessment and Remediation (SAR) team. This role supports our local environmental group on a variety of projects within site assessment remediation and environmental monitoring. Reporting to a Project Manager or Coordinator you will work closely with experienced environmental professionals and gain valuable handson experience across diverse project environments early in your engineering or environmental career.
Your Role
To work directly with Project Managers and project team members to meet client deliverables on time and on budget
To conduct local and remote field work on diverse sites while maintaining a strong focus on health safety environment and community
To execute field programs with appropriate training including drilling investigations soil and sediment sampling groundwater and soil vapour monitoring and sampling remedial excavations and environmental monitoring
To coordinate and oversee contractors during field activities
To calibrate operate and maintain field instruments and equipment
To collect field data and prepare detailed documentation such as monitoring data field notes site sketches photographs and GPS data
To submit field data and prepare summaries for project team members
About You
Ability to apply a bachelors degree or technical diploma in Environmental acScience Geoscience Engineering Environmental or Geological Engineering or a related discipline
Aptitude for fieldbased environmental or engineering work with 1 to 2 years of experience or recent graduate status
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of ArcGIS
Ability to perform physically demanding field work including lifting up to 40 lbs working in varying climatic conditions and traveling to remote locations
Ability to communicate effectively manage time efficiently and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Valid Class 5 BC drivers license.

Expected compensation for this role is (between Pay Range $55200 - $89000 annually) . Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
