A respected downtown Vancouver law firm is seeking an experienced Trust Accounting Supervisor to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional with legal industry experience who thrives in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

The successful candidate will oversee daily trust accounting operations support internal controls and provide leadership to accounting staff while ensuring full compliance with trust regulations and internal procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day trust accounting workflows
• Review trust transactions including deposits withdrawals wires EFTs and cheque requests
• Complete monthly trust reconciliations and reporting
• Support real estate closings payouts and related trust transactions
• Ensure compliance with Law Society trust accounting rules and deadlines
• Assist with quarterly remittances and audit preparation
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff
• Collaborate with lawyers staff and management on accounting matters
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency

Qualifications:

• 3 years of accounting experience preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
• Strong knowledge of trust accounting procedures and compliance requirements
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Experience with legal accounting systems such as Soluno or Actionstep is an asset
