About the Role:

  • The ICM Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects within Initiative & Change Management (ICM). This includes the development of Program Charters Project Charters and detailed Project Plans outlining scope schedule budget tasks milestones and deliverables. The role ensures effective execution from concept through delivery of intended business outcomes.
  • This position works directly with Business Sponsors and Business Leads to plan and execute project deliverables and coordinates with core project resources and key stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle. As part of the ICM team the Project Manager is accountable for project governance reporting cross-initiative coordination and identification and management of interdependencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Project Business Leads Business Sponsors and Executive Sponsors to:
  • Develop and maintain project charters
  • Monitor scope risks and change requests
  • Conduct lessons learned and continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure project change impacts are assessed appropriately and integrated into comprehensive change management plans across the project lifecycle
  • Support ICM Manager and Supervisor by flexibly serving as Project Lead Business Analyst or Change Lead for special or ad hoc initiatives
  • Develop detailed project plans and master schedules
  • Coordinate resources to execute defined tasks and achieve milestones and deliverables
  • Apply a fit-for-purpose ICM stage-gating methodology using established tools and templates
  • Establish and maintain project governance including:
  • Biweekly and monthly performance reporting
  • Risk and issue management
  • Status communications for leadership
  • Successfully manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting timelines and quality expectations
  • Contribute to optimization efforts such as:
  • Harmonizing multiple processes into standardized workflows
  • Identifying gaps and inefficiencies
  • Recommending automation opportunities
  • Understanding system dependencies and integration with interdependent programs
  • Prepare business cases and perform current- and future-state analyses including support for system implementations
  • Coordinate with ICM peers to:
  • Maintain consistency across projects
  • Identify and manage interdependencies
  • Share best practices and provide mutual support
  • Act as a cross-functional Project Manager supporting multiple business areas including:
  • Asset Management
  • Pipeline and Facility Integrity
  • Work Management
  • Compliance and Regulatory initiatives

Acts as Business Partners with:

  • GTM Training Management to ensure training needs are identified and training materials are developed and delivered effectively
  • GTM TIS Management to ensure system enhancements and implementations are delivered on time and aligned with business requirements

Scope/Dimensions:

  • Accountable for successful delivery of ICM projects that impact large segments of the organization
  • Drives initiatives that enhance safety efficiency and work execution
  • Provides strategic innovative solutions to Gas Transmission and Midstream Operations (GTMO)
  • Challenges conventional approaches and explores new opportunities to drive value across GTMO

Contacts (Working Relationships):

  • Collaborates daily with Business Leads Sponsors Executive Sponsors and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Provides task support analysis and decision recommendations to peers and senior leaders
  • Frequently engages with multiple departments to ensure momentum and stakeholder alignment
  • Prepares and delivers communications and executive-level presentations for senior leadership

Qualifications:

Required:

  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience within the oil and gas industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing complex strategic projects
  • Business process optimization experience
  • Oil and gas field operations project support experience
  • Strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Broad technical knowledge with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights
  • Exceptional leadership skills including the ability to influence and lead without direct authority
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to technical teams senior leaders and executives
  • Proficiency with:
  • Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Project SharePoint)
  • Project management and visualization tools (e.g. MS Visio)
  • Microsoft 365 tools including Teams and MS Planner
  • Comfortable engaging in both business and IT-focused discussions with a strong understanding of technologys role in solving business problems

Preferred:

  • Change Management certification or experience (Prosci)
  • Project Management (PMP) or Business Analysis (PBA) certification
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Internal Audit experience

Working Conditions:

  • Role may be performed in-office or remotely
  • Minimal travel required unless assigned to special field-based projects
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
  • Primarily sedentary work with prolonged computer use; occasional standing and walking
  • May occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Role requires the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while influencing across organizational boundaries
