Job Title: Anesthesia Technician
Location: New York NY
Job Type: Contract (Travel/Local)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule & Shift
- Day Shift: 07:00 AM 03:00 PM
- Mid Shift: 02:00 PM 10:30 PM
- Schedule: 5x8 Hours
Position Overview
The Anesthesia Technician supports the anesthesia care team by preparing equipment assisting during procedures and ensuring patient safety in a surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up anesthesia equipment and supplies
- Assist during anesthesia procedures
- Maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia machines
- Ensure availability of emergency and airway equipment
- Clean sterilize and restock equipment
- Support patient positioning and workflow
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Anesthesia Technician experience
- Experience in operating room or surgical setting
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment and procedures
- Understanding of infection control and patient safety
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Certifications
- BLS (AHA) Required
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T. / Cer.A.T.T.)
- Associate degree or accredited Anesthesia Technician program
