Project Controller

Banyan Search is searching for a strongManager of FP&Afor a SERVICE oriented client. Our client has a heart for mission and service to others.

The Manager of FP&A is a forward-looking finance leader responsible for budgeting financial planning systems optimization and financial analytics. This role partners closely with senior finance leadership and operational department heads to support informed decision-making and drive efficiency across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets in collaboration with senior leadership and department heads
• Develop budget assumptions models timelines and supporting documentation
• Perform ongoing financial projections scenario analysis and long-range financial planning
• Conduct monthly financial performance reviews versus budget with department leaders including variance analysis and identification of trends risks and opportunities
• Serve as a financial resource to operational leaders supporting data-driven decision-making
• Partner with IT and finance leadership to implement optimize and champion enterprise systems and reporting tools
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement within finance and across departments
• Support special projects including financial modeling for strategic initiatives and capital projects
• Prepare financial analyses and presentations for senior leadership and governing bodies

Key Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of budgeting financial planning and financial analysis
• Experience partnering with operational leaders on financial performance and staffing metrics
• Ability to improve financial systems reporting tools and automation
• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial audiences

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field
• 5 years of progressive experience in finance FP&A or financial planning
• Experience with system implementations or process redesign preferred

Certifications

• CPA preferred; CMA or other relevant certifications a plus

This position is ONSITE and is perfect for someone that wants to take ownership of the FP&A process working with senior leaders.
