Equipment Engineer

We are currently hiring for a full-time Equipment Engineer in our Benicia CA office. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and sometimes specialized training or certification.

• Assist maintenance staff maintain and optimize trucking fleet and construction equipment such as volumetric mixers pavers and shot blasters to ensure project efficiency and safety production
• Plan maintenance schedules troubleshoot malfunctions and often oversee equipment logistics budgeting and in some cases direct operation
• Communicate with vendors and external service providers
• Assign work orders
• Coordinate with site crews mechanics superintendents and project managers

• Bachelors degree in mechanical electrical or a similar engineering field is preferred but not required. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  Well-qualified candidates will be proficient in computer design software and knowledge of mechanical systems
  
• Valid drivers license

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Expertise with AutoCAD
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Specify equipment requirements for project types and site conditions
• Ability to interpret complex technical information
• Excellent computer skills including strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work with a team
• Great communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task and successfully coordinate your projects without direct supervision are all essential to this job
