Job Summary:

If you are passionate about driving social justice outcomes Life and Wellness Coach position is designed to support individuals with autism spectrum disorders in overcoming barriers to independence personal fulfillment and participation in community life. Coaching takes place one-on-one or with a team member in small groups (2-3) and is highly individualized and self-directed by the individual. The Life coach will assist the individual to prioritize and monitor progress on their goals by using a strength-based approach and using an array of appropriate and evidence-based strategies for individuals with ASD. Coaching will be done largely in the community.

Applicants must be very reliable patient and able to effectively adapt their approach to each individuals unique situation and needs.

Essential functions:

We focus on taking individuals into the community. We make sure to have fun while practicing Safety Responsibility and Respect. We are here to make a difference in everyones lives that we serve.

Responsibilities include:

Must be able to be on time for scheduled shifts.

Drives safely

Responsible for assuring the safety of the individual served under your supervision in-house and out in the community.

Willing to follow the daily activity schedules with the consumers. (Volunteerism travel training etc.)

Assisting in the transition of individuals with disabilities from work program model to supported employment &/or community-based activities

Actively engages with our individuals while in the community while participating in meaningful activities.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree preferred

High school/GED or a minimum of 1 year experience working with adults with Autism and/or developmental disabilities.

Professional responsible and punctual

Active/Valid Massachusetts Drivers License

Preference will be given to candidates who can work the scheduled hours of 8:30am-4pm M-F. This position pays $23.00 per hour and it is essential that the candidate can be flexible between 8a-4p
