What Youll Do
As a key member of our Patient Access team you will:
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Register patients and accurately enter demographic and insurance information
- Schedule confirm and coordinate appointments
- Answer and route incoming calls efficiently
- Ensure patient forms are complete and properly documented in the EHR
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards
- Support clinic flow by coordinating with clinical staff
- Perform general administrative duties (filing faxing scanning etc.)
- Participate in team meetings and quality improvement efforts
What Were Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of customer service or front office experience
Preferred:
- Healthcare or medical office experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
- Familiarity with Native American cultures and communities
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
- Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Professional clinic setting with frequent patient interaction
- Primarily desk-based work with computer use
- Occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs.)
- Flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends as needed
