Your role:
Global Relay delivers enterprise services to 23000 customers in 90 countries including 22 of the top 25 global banks.Technical Product Managers (TPMs) are part of theProduct Management team that is responsible for executing product strategy prioritizing and aligning roadmaps and for researching and defining enhancements and upgrades to Global Relay services.
TPMs are responsible for delivering the product roadmap driving new products and features through the development process. They work closely with other Product Managers to ensure roadmaps are clear prioritized achievable and aligned with strategy. TPMs define detailed business requirements user stories and acceptance criteria for specific features and collaborate with their Team Leads Architects and UI/UX to ensure high quality designs are produced. TPMs attend daily stand-ups and other agile ceremonies groom their teams backlog plan sprints accept completed stories monitor progress report status and manage key release activities including documentation and training.
Your responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivery of components / features in alignment with strategy and the broader roadmap on the Information Archive DevOps Team.
- Collaborate with Product Management Sales Support clients and other TPMs to produce and manage their components backlog and contribute to the product roadmap.
- Translate product roadmap initiatives and feature requests intoepics user stories acceptance criteria and other suitable artifacts.
- Identify and coordinate cross-component dependencies throughout the development process.
- Work with Product Management Development and other departments to actively remove obstacles blocking progress and ensure program is within schedule.
- Prioritize and groom their team(s) backlog.
- Attend daily stand-ups grooming sprint planning demos retrospectives and other team meetings with your Agile team(s).
- Create work estimates track progress and report status in the form of burn up/down charts and dashboards.
- Support Product Management Marketing Sales Provisioning Professional Services Technical Documentation Training and Technical Support throughout the release process with training documentation announcements and other release activities.
- Understand the design business logic and technical architecture of their platform components and how those components interact with the rest of the platform.
- Serve as primary product expert (functional not technical) for the components for which you are responsible.
- Lead and plan initiatives to maintain and keep up-to-date all the Global Relay infrastructure that powers our Information Archive product.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives on product observability and coordination with support-level teams to ensure optimal customer experiences.
- Facilitating daily stand-ups backlog refinement sprint planning demos retrospectives and other team meetings with your agile team(s)
About You:
- Degree in Engineering Computer Science or related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or product owner.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong requirement elicitation analysis domain modelling use case modeling workflow design and documentation skills .
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
- Understanding of one or more areas (eg. service level monitoring deployment processes environment mgmt security DevOps best practices Jenkins Puppet Ansible etc)
Nice to Haves:
- Experience as a software developer/engineer
- Experience with a SaaS messaging or enterprise software company
- Experience drive cross-team initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization
- Experience planning monitoring and reporting on project status
Compensation:
Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbias pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise skills education and professional background.
The range below reflects the expected annual base salary which is only one element of our comprehensive total rewards package designed to reflect our company pay philosophy culture and values. British Columbia - Base salary range
$90000 - $130000 CAD
