The Department of Speech-Language Pathologyat California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Summer 2026 to teachSLP 642: Supervised Clinical Experience Children/Adults II.

Course Description:

Development of competence in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of communicative disorders in children and/or adults through supervised practice. Involves a minimum of 80 clock hours of supervised diagnosis and treatment including: case history review interview test administration data analysis treatment plan design oral and written report presentation and treatment plan implementation. Experience may also include activities related to staffing educational support counseling prevention of communicative disorders and the enhancement of speech language hearing and communicative effectiveness.

Minimum qualifications:

  • A masters degree within the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Expertise in working with individuals with communication disorders
  • CA SLP State License
  • ASHA CCCs
  • Per the California State Universitys Out-of-State Employment Policy the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • A doctorate degree with an emphasis in Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving a diverse campus community as it relates to teaching and as applicable service.

Salary commensurate with degree level and experience

  • AnticipatedHiring Salary Range: $1101.00 - $6084.00 per WTU
