Job Overview

Purpose of Position: Under the general direction of the Associate Dean the incumbent plays a critical role in academic success and retention of students in the College of Humanities Arts Behavioral and Social Sciences. The incumbent utilizes interpersonal and analytical skills to work closely with students and academic policies to address student academic issues and recommend solutions that support retention and graduation. Solutions often require careful coordination with faculty the Associate Dean and colleagues in Student Affairs. The incumbent also supports various Deans Office initiatives and services that promote student academic success.

This is a full-time exemptposition which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Pay Benefits and Work Schedule

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5.540 - $6500 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range: $5540 - $7893 per month

Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits including medical dental vision life and disability insurances retirement (CalPERS) tuition waiver vacation and sick addition 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.
