Memory Lane Coordinator Responsibilities

• Plan develop organize implement evaluate and direct the activity programs for the dementia unit
• Create a monthly and daily recreation calendar and schedule for the unit
• Make residents aware of activity options encourage participation and the pursuit of leisure interests
• Understand the special needs of memory-impaired residents and provide support and assistance
• Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms reports etc. and submitting such to the Director of Recreation as required
• Observe and record resident attendance mood behavior and degree of involvement in activities so that facility activities andresidentsprogress are evaluated by noting reporting and charting resident behavior
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate or as indicated by the Director of Recreation
• Arrange and attend Dementia education classes andtrainingfor staff
• Manage Dementia support groups and education classes for family members

Memory Lane Coordinator Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Previous experience with the senior population
• COVID-19 Vaccination

• Music skills
• Bilingual
