A day in the life

Swift needs a hands-on IT and security leader who can own todays operations and build the infrastructure foundation needed for tomorrows manufacturing sites.

Day-to-day youll run the full scope of Swift IT onboarding and offboarding device management incident response and system upgrades while keeping the issue-management system visible so nothing falls through the cracks. Security is a core part of this role: youll enforce least-privilege access define access boundaries for sensitive systems tighten endpoint hygiene and design secure vendor-access patterns across our mixed office lab and shared-system environments. Youll also improve role-based access controls for technical collaboration across our U.S. and Germany teams and make sure Swifts security posture keeps pace as the company grows.

The bigger opportunity here is building the foundation for what comes next. As Swift scales toward manufacturing youll define the standards for site networking shared workstations vendor access and endpoint deployment at new facilities. Youll design secure vendor-access and remote-support patterns for production-adjacent environments and improve role-based access controls for sensitive technical collaboration across our U.S. and Germany teams. You might be a good fit if you...

• Have strong hands-on ownership experience running company IT and cybersecurity operations in a fast-growing environment
• Have experience with multi-site networking and the complexity that comes with managing distributed infrastructure
• Are the kind of person who creates structure and documentation even when the environment is still underbuilt and takes pride in making chaos legible
• Have deep experience with identity endpoint admin backup and access-control systems
• Exercise good judgment around security and least-privilege access in technically sensitive environments
• Feel comfortable supporting mixed office lab and shared-system environments from conference rooms to lab computers to shared workstations
• Are a strong communicator who can work fluidly with leadership vendors and non-technical operators alike
• Effectively use AI tools in your daily workflow to move faster and document better
• Are deeply motivated to make an impact on climate change

A very strong candidate might bring one or more of the following...

• Experience with manufacturing industrial lab or hardware IT infrastructure including setting up or scaling IT for new or physically complex sites and working alongside systems like MES QMS or PLM
• Experience with network segmentation secure vendor access and remote-support patterns in production-adjacent settings
• Familiarity with export-control-sensitive environments or experience supporting international operations
• German language skills (a bonus given our Germany operations)

The logistics

• Compensation: Competitive package including salary equity and benefits
• Expected Pay Range: $130000 - $180000 per year
• The actual offer reflecting total compensation and benefits will be determined by factors such as relevant experience skills and other qualifications
• Ideal start date: May - June 2026
• Job type: Full-time In-person 4-5 days per week
