The Change Transition & Release Management team supports the stability and continual improvement of New Zealand Police ICT services.
The Release practice plans schedules and controls the movement of major releases from test and preproduction into the live environment ensuring deployments are coordinated and reliable.
The Transition practice prepares new and enhanced services for operational readiness confirming they meet acceptance criteria and can be seamlessly supported once live.
The Change Enablement practice assesses authorises reviews and schedules changes across internal teams and external vendors ensuring changes deliver value while protecting service integrity.
The team operates in a positive collaborative and supportive culture where shared problemsolving learning and enjoyment of the work are core to how we deliver.
As a Transition & Change Analyst your primary focus will be Change assessing authorising reviewing and scheduling changes across internal teams and external vendors.
You will lead Transition activities by preparing new and enhanced ICT systems for entry into the production environment.
Your daytoday work will include planning operational readiness coordinating technical inputs validating support requirements and facilitating smooth golive transitions.
This role is unique in balancing robust governance with the continuity of critical Police services.

Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure that all changes are recorded tracked updated and managed through their lifecycle.
- Provide support and guidance to change owners to assist them with understanding and completing Requests for Change (RFCs).
- Assist the Technical Product Owners to achieve the sign offs necessary to get authorisation for the transition into production of project deliverables.
- Confirm that the project deliverables include the completion of the Transition Management Framework documentation for operational readiness.
- Supporting the Release team.

- Proven experience in Change Management.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of ITIL.

- Clear confident communication skills able to explain information in a way others can easily understand
- A forwardthinking mindset with the ability to spot issues suggest improvements and help streamline processes
- Confidence working independently while also being a supportive and reliable team member.
- Proven experience Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Utu ā-tau Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $87306 and $91353 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
