About the Role
As a Physician at ELFHCC youll provide comprehensive medical services including physical exams diagnosing and treating illnesses and offering preventive care. Youll work alongside a multidisciplinary team across clinical settings including medical offices nursing homes and patient homes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver primary and specialty care in clinic nursing home and home settings
Conduct exams review histories and order diagnostic tests
Provide hospital follow-up care at UPMC Shadyside and Magee Womens Hospital (credentialing/scope dependent)
Promote wellness and prevention through patient education
Oversee care delivered by PNPs and PACs; supervise triage functions of nurses
Participate in evening/weekend call coverage
Maintain accurate timely records and billing documentation
Complete forms for insurance disability and assistance programs
Review labs and cultures; follow up with appropriate care
Support clinical research with Medical Director approval
Attend CME staff meetings in-service trainings and quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate in protocol development and compliance
Ensure practices meet all regulatory and ethical standards
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institution
Current Pennsylvania medical license
Board certification in Family Medicine Internal Medicine Pediatrics or OB-GYN
Minimum of 3 years post-residency experience preferred
Bilingual candidates strongly preferred
Interest in urban/inner-city medicine a must

Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with EMR proficiency
Empathetic communication and professionalism
Adaptable schedule; willing to support clinic needs across locations
Passion for working with uninsured/underserved communities
Team-oriented with commitment to interdisciplinary care
Working Conditions
Fast-paced clinic and community settings
Local travel required
Physical demands include prolonged standing/sitting phone use and lifting up to 10 lbs.
