Physician Opportunity - ELFHCC

Are you a compassionate community-minded physician looking to make a meaningful impact in urban healthcare Join our team at East Liberty Family Health Care Center (ELFHCC) where youll deliver high-quality medical care in a collaborative patient-centered environment serving diverse and underserved populations.

About the Role

As a Physician at ELFHCC youll provide comprehensive medical services including physical exams diagnosing and treating illnesses and offering preventive care. Youll work alongside a multidisciplinary team across clinical settings including medical offices nursing homes and patient homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary and specialty care in clinic nursing home and home settings
  • Conduct exams review histories and order diagnostic tests
  • Provide hospital follow-up care at UPMC Shadyside and Magee Womens Hospital (credentialing/scope dependent)
  • Promote wellness and prevention through patient education
  • Oversee care delivered by PNPs and PACs; supervise triage functions of nurses
  • Participate in evening/weekend call coverage
  • Maintain accurate timely records and billing documentation
  • Complete forms for insurance disability and assistance programs
  • Review labs and cultures; follow up with appropriate care
  • Support clinical research with Medical Director approval
  • Attend CME staff meetings in-service trainings and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate in protocol development and compliance
  • Ensure practices meet all regulatory and ethical standards

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Current Pennsylvania medical license
  • Board certification in Family Medicine Internal Medicine Pediatrics or OB-GYN
  • Minimum of 3 years post-residency experience preferred
  • Bilingual candidates strongly preferred
  • Interest in urban/inner-city medicine a must
