About the Role:

You will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads pastries and baked goods while maintaining high standards of quality consistency and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a range of breads pastries cakes and other baked products
Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards
Monitor baking times temperatures and oven settings
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety standards
Manage stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients
Work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
Contribute to new product ideas and menu development

Requirements

Previous experience as a Baker or Pastry Cook

Relevant qualification (preferred but not essential with strong experience)

Strong knowledge of baking techniques and food safety practices

Ability to work early mornings weekends and public holidays

Reliable motivated and team-oriented

Required Skills:

AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification OR minimum 35 years relevant commercial baking experience At least 2 years post-qualification or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in artisan and commercial bread production Strong understanding of dough fermentation baking processes and quality control Ability to work early mornings weekends and under pressure Reliable punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
