Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Azure Kubernetes Support Engineer to manage monitor and support containerized workloads in Azure. The role requires expertise in AKS Kubernetes ecosystem tools and ITIL-based support practices to ensure high availability operational excellence and seamless production support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters in production environments.
- Perform cluster administration using Kubectl Azure CLI and Helm.
- Deploy monitor and troubleshoot containerized applications on Kubernetes (K8s/K3s).
- Handle Incident Problem and Change Management following ITIL practices.
- Monitor system health and performance using tools like Prometheus.
- Manage container images and repositories via Azure Container Registry (ACR).
- Support deployment and scaling using tools such as KEDA Dapr Argo and Flux (GitOps).
- Work with advanced Kubernetes networking and security tools e.g. Cilium.
- Participate in 24/7 support rotation and ensure SLA adherence.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues.
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Solid understanding of Kubernetes (K8s/K3s) architecture and administration.
Proficiency in Kubectl Azure CLI and Helm.
Experience with Azure Container Registry (ACR).
Exposure to Kubernetes ecosystem tools: KEDA Dapr Argo Flux Prometheus Cilium.
Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident Problem Change Management).
Prior experience in production support / L2-L3 support environments.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a 24/7 support environment.
