Hindi Teacher (Grades 48 ICSE & IGCSE Curriculum)
1. Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Hindi Teacher to teach students from Grades 4 to 8 under the ICSE and IGCSE curricula. The role involves developing strong language proficiency comprehension grammar and literary appreciation while fostering a love for the Hindi language.
This position is ideally suited for a day scholar preferably a local resident of Ooty.
2. Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Planning & Delivery
- Plan and deliver engaging Hindi lessons aligned with ICSE and Cambridge IGCSE curriculum standards
- Develop lesson plans focusing on:
- Grammar and vocabulary
- Reading comprehension
- Writing skills (creative and formal)
- Literature and poetry appreciation
- Use interactive and differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learners
Assessment & Evaluation
- Design and conduct formative and summative assessments
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely constructive feedback
- Prepare students for internal and school-level assessments
Student Engagement & Support
- Encourage participation through storytelling recitation role-play and discussions
- Provide individual attention to cater to varied learning needs
- Track and document student progress effectively
Professional Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative planning
- Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment
- Contribute to school events language activities and competitions
- Engage in continuous professional development (CPD)
