Our Float Pool team is a group of employees who are specially trained and readily available to seamlessly assimilate and stabilize clinical operations within our practices. We cover gaps due to unexpected call outs long-term leaves planned vacations staffing vacancies etc. This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously to the top of your education/certification while also functioning as part of a collaborative team.
We are seeking per diem Clinic/practice assistant to pick up shifts Monday through Friday but we can be flexible on exact days based on employee availability. Clinic/Practice Assistants serve as the face of our medical group and play a key role in managing the patient experience on the reception/administrative support side.
We are looking for well-rounded customer service professionals who can multi-task prioritize and thrive in a high-volume outpatient setting!
In this role you would be expected to cover various practices across the Pioneer Valley. Towns/cities include:
Amherst
Belchertown
Florence
Greenfield
Hadley
Northampton
South Deerfield
West Hatfield
Williamsburg
We do our best to keep all employees with their preferred geographic regions/specialty areas; however float pool employees must be able and willing to commute to any of our locations during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of fluctuating staffing shortages (for cross-coverage purposes).

Performs basic clerical work and tasks that are repetitive and routine. Administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling check-in check-out duties. Essential Functions
-Perform routine administrative and clerical duties relating to a clinical service or physician practice office.
-Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
-Greet and assist patients.
-Answer telephones assist callers with routine inquiries and schedule appointments.
-File materials in patient folders and print appointment schedules.
-Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record/LMR.
-Call for patient medical records and laboratory test results.
-Open and distribute unit mail or faxes.
-Type forms records schedules memos etc. as directed.
-May be required to accept co-payments.
-Handles screens and/or takes messages related to prior authorizations
-provider questions prescription refills and test results.
-Acts as Super User for scheduling registration and billing systems.
-Provides assistance and training to others in these areas.
-May perform more complex or specialized functions (i.e. surgical scheduling schedule changes/blocking) at more advanced competency level.
