HR Manager (Employee Relations Focus)

About the Opportunity
Were partnering with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Philadelphia that is going through an exciting phase of internal growth and transformation.
They are seeking an HR Manager to lead employee relations efforts and support a positive compliant and people-first workplace culture.
This is a highly visible hands-on role where youll work closely with leadership and play a key part in shaping the employee experience.
What Youll Be Doing
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters including complaints investigations and conflict resolution
- Partner with leadership to provide guidance on performance management and disciplinary actions
- Manage and support leave of absence programs (FMLA ADA accommodations military leave)
- Oversee workers compensation and unemployment claims
- Ensure compliance with FLSA and employment regulations including assisting with audits
- Support benefits administration including ACA (1095-C) compliance and reconciliations
- Help roll out and support performance management tools and processes including training initiatives
- Lead or assist with employee engagement initiatives such as trainings workshops and Lunch & Learns

Requirements
What Were Looking For
- 5 years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on employee relations
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling sensitive employee matters
- Solid understanding of employment law and HR compliance (FMLA ADA FLSA etc.)
- Ability to partner with leadership and influence decision-making
- Strong communication skills with a hands-on solutions-oriented approach
- Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization is a plus
