About the Department of Nutrition
Position Summary
The Department of Nutrition at MSU Denver seeks to hire onepart-time faculty lecturerposition (0.5 FTE) to teach courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs in Nutrition and Dietetics beginning Fall 2026. The lecturer position will teach 15 credit hours per academic year as needed. The faculty will be an integral member of the Department of Nutrition and willbe requiredto follow those responsibilities outlined in the MSU DenverFaculty Employment Handbook. This is an in person on campus lecturer position beginningAugust 2026.
Responsibilities
Teach a minimum of15credit hours (or equivalent) per academic year. The successful candidate is expected to teach human nutrition and clinical dietetics and/or researchcourses as needed by the department. Teaching will be in the classroom and online and may also include teaching evening courses.
Maintain2.5 office hours per week to include advising and consultation with students.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse urbannon-traditionalpopulation that includes U.S. ethnic minorities.
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree in DieteticsClinical NutritionFood & Nutrition Food Science/Technology Public HealthNutritionor other Nutrition-related fields
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and at least 2 years of work experience in nutrition practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Previousteaching experience at the college level and experience with teaching in a variety of formats(face-to-face online synchronous online asynchronous)
- Earned doctorate
- 3 or moreyears of work experience in nutritionpractice

Salary for Announcement
This is a .5 FTE position. The salary range for this .5 FTE faculty position is $30000 - $35000 at Lecturer level. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity education experience discipline specialty and training.
