Position: Nurse Aide / Medical Assistant Cardiology (Entry to Full Performance)

We are seeking a Nurse Aide or Medical Assistant to support patient care in a busy outpatient cardiology clinic. This role involves assisting with or directly providing patient care through a variety of clinical and administrative support tasks following established procedures and care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering patient care in an outpatient setting
- Monitor and report patient conditions and symptoms
- Support clinical procedures and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow care protocols
- Adhere to infection control safety and patient care standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
General
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills in English
- Knowledge of basic clinical practices infection control and patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or must be obtained within 6 months; 1 month for LPNs)
Nurse Aide
Entry Level:
- No prior experience required
Full Performance:
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (hospital or similar)
- Experience in observing/reporting patient conditions and assisting with care
- Knowledge of:
- Basic nursing skills and first aid
- Patient rights and safety practices
- Infection control and universal precautions
- Activities of daily living and restorative care
Medical Assistant
Certification Required (one of the following):
- CCMA (NHA)
- CMA (AAMA)
- RMA (AMT)
- NCMA (NCCT)
Entry Level:
- 1 year of relevant healthcare experience
- Experience in patient observation reporting and basic care
- Clinic experience preferred
Substitutions (Entry Level):
- Nursing school completion
- EMT / Advanced EMT / Paramedic certification
- 1 year of dental assistant experience
Full Performance:
- 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting
- Knowledge of:
- Emergency medical procedures
- Human anatomy and physiology
Substitutions (Full Performance):
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- 1 year EMT or Paramedic experience
