Responsible for ensuring that Mass General Brigham Health Plans commercial line of business adheres to all applicable federal and state regulatory requirements and industry standards. This role manages regulatory submissions supports audits and examinations and partners with internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance with healthcare laws privacy requirements and organizational policies impacting commercial products. The position plays a key role in maintaining regulatory readiness and promoting high standards of quality compliance and data protection across the organization.
Essential Functions
-Oversee compliance with federal state and local regulations including those related to healthcare delivery accreditation and member privacy.
-Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
-Prepare review and submit regulatory documents and reports to governmental agencies and accrediting bodies.
-Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify areas of risk and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
-Develop and implement action plans to address any compliance issues or deficiencies identified during audits.
-Develop and deliver training programs for staff on regulatory requirements compliance policies and best practices.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree required- experience can be considered in lieu of degree
Experience
- At least 5-7 years of experience in regulatory affairs compliance or accreditation within a healthcare setting required
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role required
- Compliance privacy or regulatory experience at a commercial health plan highly preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations standards and accreditation requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
- Experience in managing audits preparing regulatory submissions and implementing compliance programs.
- Ability to stay current with evolving regulations and industry trends.
