The Process Engineering Supervisor is responsible for supervising salaried bargaining unit process engineers in the development of process tooling for trim chassis and final operations from vehicle design concept through in plant vehicle launch. Champion data driven decisions. Manage complex projects from beginning to end and meet project budget and timing targets. Manage issues and drive root cause analysis utilizing tools such as Fishbone diagrams 5 whys FMEAs Pareto Charts Histograms Six Sigma and Red X. The Process Engineer Supervisor also directs design for manufacturing concepts throughout all projects big or small and works to develop a solid team atmosphere empowering direct report to take ownership of their processes. The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management. Extensive travel may be required.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical discipline 5 years of experience related to automotive assembly technology supervision * Knowledge of CAN software Good written and communication skills Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel PowerPoint Word and Google Suite Good project management/problem solving skills Self-directed and willing to work any shift and overtime as required Willing to travel both domestically and internationally as required Ability to work overtime as needed including nights and weekends and travel domestically/internationally as required Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or automotive technology Strong leadership/problem solving skills 5 years of supervision experience in automotive manufacturing assembly Demonstrated experience in Focused Problem Solving (Kaizen methodology) Experience in electrical and/or torque strongly desired Experience working with vehicle CAN and CAN-FD networks and diagnostic tools
