The Role

As aSenior Product Manager Driver Information & Safety Experiences you willlead the team of Product Mangers shapingwhat drivers seeand interact withevery time they get behind the wheel.

You will:

  • Define the future of instrument clusters and reconfigurable displays how information is prioritized visualized and personalized.Supportingeverything fromevery day driving to on-track heromoments.

  • Shape HeadUp Display (HUD) experiences that keep eyes on the road while giving drivers the confidence and context they need.Closely collaborating with R&D to shape future technologies to provide truly immersive experiences.

  • Reinvent how customers understand vehicle health maintenance and diagnostics turning confusing warnings into clear actionable guidance.

  • Orchestrate crossvehicle safety and warning experiences so that critical moments are handled consistently calmly and effectively.Integrating the latest technology tocreate experiences that inform andprotectourcustomers.

This is a highly visible role at the intersection of safety designhardwareand software.Youllconnect deep technical teams with customer insights andyoulldecide which ideas become the next generation of GMs driver information experience. If you love turning complex systems into simple intuitive moments that drivers trust every day this role gives you the scope and influence to do exactly that.

Success in this role requiresoperatingin a fastpaced highly crossfunctional environment making principled tradeoffs and influencing teams across Software Hardware Safety CX Data and Program Management.

WhatYoullDo

  • Lead the following product manager disciplines:Cluster HUD Vehicle Health / Maintenance / Prognostics & Safety.You willmakeyourproducts integrate and interact seamlesslywith each other andour customers.

  • Assure theexperiencesyou createarecraftedinteractions thatdontshow the engineering construct to thecustomer create veryintentional experiences.

  • Obtaincross functionalstakeholder alignment encompassing EngineeringProgram Managers Vehicle TeamsDesignSafety andLegal

  • Activelymonitoremerging trends incorporate data research and market
    analysis to inform define prioritize and drive execution of product roadmap
    that spans privacy initiatives data collection consent experiences and
    privacy controls.

  • Drive a data-driven culture andestablishand monitor key metrics to
    measure thehealth and usefulness of our solutions.


Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 3 years of people leading experience

  • 8 years ofexperience in product managementor similar disciplines.

  • 10 years of experiencewiththe tech or automotivesoftwareindustry

  • Proven ability to balance tradeoffs between consumer needs and
    expectations legal and regulatory requirements and businessobjectives.

  • Experience developing solutions to hard problems with many constraints
    using sound judgement to assess risks andlayingout your argument in a
    well-structured data-informed written narrative.

  • Demonstratedexpertisein writing with the ability to effectively balance and
    integratepressures from across the company.Clear communication perspectives to ensure clear compliant and engaging content for privacy-related matters.

  • Ability toidentifykey data and metricsto make decisions and
    implications of their movement.

  • Strong communicationand storytelling skills with the ability to articulate
    complex concepts to all stakeholders.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience balancing many initiatives thatbuild toa common cohesive theme.

Hybrid:This role is categorized ashybrid. Thesuccessful candidate is expected to report to Warren Milford or Mountain Viewthree times per week at minimum.

Compensation:The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.

  • The salary range for this role is $178800 to $322500. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance job level and individual performance.

Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
