The Learning Experience Tuckahoe is seeking an experienced and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to guide our 2-year-old classroom. This role is ideal for an early childhood educator who enjoys supporting toddlers as they build independence language and social-emotional skills in a structured and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a toddler classroom in a safe nurturing and developmentally appropriate setting
Plan and implement hands-on learning experiences aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum
Support language development motor skills and early independence
Maintain consistent routines including meals toileting transitions and rest time
Supervise and support assistant teachers
Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and daily activities
Maintain compliance with NYC DOHMH licensing and safety requirements
Qualifications
One of the following required:
12 credits in Early Childhood Education or
CDA credential or
Associate or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education
Experience working with toddlers required
Previous lead teacher experience preferred
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
CPR and First Aid preferred
Must meet NYC childcare licensing requirements
